I hate the "my kid gets too many presents!" whine.
Why? You can be appreciative that people think of your kids but still be annoyed by the junk that they get, that they don't need, which clutters up your house. Holiday gift giving has gotten so out of hand.
I didn't do baskets at all. I'm being a Scrooge about Easter. But I did buy them kinder eggs. I'm not sure if that makes it better or worse because they will choke on them.
Man I love kinder eggs! My uncle from Germany used to ship them to us for Christmas. I've heard you can buy them in the US now, but I haven't found them.
I took E's stuff out of the packaging, so that took maybe 5 mins.
SS's basket just took a couple of minutes. Because he just got braces, I gave him his jelly beans and sour patch Easter candy about 2 weeks ago.
I didn't do anything with plastic eggs this year.
In the past, for SS's basket, I've opened the small Lego sets, and put the contents inside the plastic eggs. That sounds like a nightmare waiting to happen now that I have a three year old in the house.
