Morning!
No holiday here! In a Muslim country, Easter isn't really considered a holiday. I was at work yesterday too. My friends had a brunch on Saturday though, and we decorated easter eggs and had a lot of fun, so it's all good :-)
Today is relatively quiet! I'm at work and then heading home to finish up the red velvet cake balls I made for DH's students. Then hoping to just relax, and maybe work on a new Zumba routine :-)
QOTD: Yes, we always celebrated Easter when I was young! I remember buying new dresses for church, and we'd usually do Easter baskets in the morning, they were always hidden and we had to find them. Then we'd usually have dinner with my family at someone's house. As we got older, we still celebrated but would usually just do brunch at a restaurant with the extended family.

Good Morning! Yes, today is a holiday for us today -- the first of two this week. We'll have had three public holidays in 8 days after ANZAC Day Friday.
Nothing really fun happening today. I finished my menu planning and went grocery shopping (got everything but celery). Dinner tonight was easy because I was supposed to start tap class tonight, but with the public holidays, they decided to delay it a week. I suspected that would happen, and was not surprised, but still a bit disappointed.
QOTD: My Dad wasn't big on organized religion, so we didn't really go to church until we were in high school. And by then we had stopped doing the Easter Egg thing. But when we were kids, we dyed eggs a dozen eggs (4 each for the 3 kids) and put them in our baskets for the Easter Bunny to "inspect." If the Easter Bunny liked our eggs, we would get one big solid chocolate bunny each (dark for my older brother, white for me, and milk for my younger brother) and 3 or 4 smaller eggs (pecan log eggs, strawberry creme filled eggs, the Russell Stover green coconut nests, etc.) and a sleeve of Peeps each. And we would get an Easter Basket at my paternal grandmother's house with 3 or 4 small eggs, one dyed egg, and a plastic egg with a crisp $20 in it.
Happy Easter! Yes, it's a holiday today. And a lovely day. We went for a forest walk this morning and are having lunch at home now. The walk was only a 10min drive up the road from us. My SIL is calling in this afternoon and maybe my brother and family too. Dd2 starts in crèche tomorrow, so I'm just trying to enjoy today.
QOTD: Yes, my parents are quite religious so Easter was important in our house. We got Easter eggs from grandparents and parents.
Good morning :-). Yes, it's a bank holiday here, but I'm on maternity leave, h is on paternity, and my parents are visiting, so it's just like any other day for us:-)
QOTD: sometimes church if we were visiting family, but usually Easter baskets and some kind of special meal. And we always used to watch Easter Parade with Fred Astaire and Judy Garland.
Hello! It's a holiday here today. It's raining, so I decided to organise the house and get rid of some old clothes and books in preparation for moving. Yesterday we went hiking after M found his eggs, it was terrific.
QOTD: As a child we always did an Easter egg hunt and a family dinner.

Hi there, today is not a holiday. Yesterday was but many things were open. I would say that places ran with limited staff though.
QOTD: I did celebrate Easter as a kid. I had Easter eggs and went to Easter egg hunts throughout the years. I also dressed up and got an Easter basket. I don't really remember specific food that well. My dad's family practices more religion so when I was with them, I went to church.
As a kid, we did a secular easter - egg and coin hunt (the bunny would hide little stacks of spare change about 3-4 coins high along with little chocolate eggs at our place), easter baskets. I even remember having to decorate (and wear) easter bonnets for school one or two years... We'd do a big family meal, and we all generally relaxed for the day.
