So heartbreaking, but she has so much to be proud of. It must be tough when your best isn't enough, but it must also feel awesome to know that you performed at your highest level, and left it all out there. The competition was just too great.

Thanks for updating cinco. I'm sorry too that your race wasn't what you hoped & deserved. The marathon is a crafty beast, and it think she likes to show her claws over the 26.2 sometimes.

With that said, it sounds like you have an A+ attitude and an amazing experience you'll never forget. I was crying just watching it all, especially when Meb won, so I can't imagine the emotion. Congratulations!!!

Knowing I had a cheering section pushed me from check point to checkpoint. I finished an hour and a half faster than I anticipated. I still have no idea how this happened on one 13 mile long run at the beginning of March.

I'm on a cloud right now

Holy cow!! I had no idea you'd only gone 13, or that you figured you'd be in for a 5+ hour race. You really are made of something special. Congratulations on a phenomenal race Blondie!

I'll update with more tomorrow. My twins apparently barely napped (they were on the course cheering with H) and are now in their cribs screaming.

I finished in just under 4:30. Nothing quite as fast you ladies, but I was happy to finish that quickly with my less than stellar training
