I will be of no help... Mine is stuffed. I've left the house with it 3times and used nothing. But I have diapers, wipes, a book, a toy, a onesie, an extra binkie, changing pad, disposable changing pads, hand sanitizer, hair things, Chapstick, pads for me (which I highly recommend bringing your own to the hospital), burp cloth, nursing cover. I'm sure there's more but that's what I remember!
I live by the theory I learned in high school. KISS. (Keep It Simple Stupid - I tell it to myself all the time when I plan, which is why I forget things). I have a changing pad, diapers, wipes, an extra onsie, a nursing cover, and some sort of toy. (newborn stage was little finger puppets. Then a little rattle. Now she has her teething rings and monstrous crinkly rattely toys). ETA cell phone charger because GBCNing while nursing uses lots of battery power.
I bought two Petunia Pickle Bottom bags and hardly used either of them.
I never, ever carried a diaper bag. I just throw diapers and wipes into my purse and it has served me well. Super simple. I am of the belief you don't really need that much. I am more of a purse girl than a diaper bag girl.

I'm pretty sure this bag will become my purse. I'll just throw my wallet, phone and chap stick into the diaper bag. That's really all I use from my purse anyways.
Diapers, lots of wipes, hand sanitizer, lightweight blanket, burp clothes, extra changes of clothes, paci if you use one, a teething toy. I always had too much in there, but when they are little there isn't a TON you need in there. Once they get older, I always had an abundance of snacks, sippy cups, etc.
I always have a ton of stuff on me, even now, lol! When she was little I had diapers, wipes, 1-2 changes of clothes, a blanket, burp cloth (I used the gerber cloth diapers - love them!), receiving blanket, hand sanitizer, nursing pads (a must have!!), toys, and later on we learned to always carry pumped milk with us. Sometimes when we were out and about and there wasn't a quiet place to nurse, she would not want the boob. The bottle got us through the rough patch until I could nurse her again (usually soon after, if not we went home so I could pump or nurse her there). I would usually keep a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen too. I had way too much stuff in there! But I am always prepared.
Diapers, wipes, (since you're CD, a wetbag) a change of clothes for each baby, a receiving blank for each (I kept blankets in the cars, so I didn;t need to try to shove that into the diaper bag.)I always carried six bottles of nursery water, and six compartments of formula, hand sanitizer.
Now I keep a carton or two of shelf stable almond or soy milk, 2 empty bottles, a change of clothes, diapers, wipes, snacks, toys, and hand sanitizer. In both cases, my wallet and keys went in, too.
And the Moby goes where I go, so I have that, and I keep it in a ringsling configuration, so I just slide on and off, tuck baby in, take baby out.

I have disposable changing pad liners, and my bag came with a travel changing pad which is nice for hard surfaces because it is soft, diapers, wipes, a onesie, an extra pacifier, antibacterial soap, burp cloth (I, too, use cloth diapers for burp cloths)
I am not working full time now, only doing weddings, so I go out at least once a day for a few hours just to get out of the house, and we hardly ever use anything from the bag. We have only had to change his diaper 3 times in public too - I'm sure it will be more when he's older. But it's nice to feel prepared with all the stuff.

I have all this stuff, plus a nursing cover and some other necessities for me - chapstick, bandaids, hair ties, etc. My diaper bag doubles as my purse so I have my wallet and phone and stuff like that, too. Oh, and if LO is going through a spit-up phase I will usually throw an extra shirt for myself in there. We've had messes.
