Oh man. I weaned at 16 months, but at 1yr I started gaining :-\. It was not what I had planned on.
I think it took a couple of weeks to get adjusted, so I would keep doing what you're doing and give your body some time (2-3weeks). And then, if things aren't leveling out, you might consider weighing food to verify that you are calculating calories correctly, wearing a hrm to better calculate cals burned, and/or play with your macros.

This is why I started running. I stopped BFing and gained like a pound a month until I started running to balance out the eating. I think it took like 3 months or so to regulate. Plus your body is just used to eating more so it is hard to stop.
With DD I think it was a few weeks, although I kept eating even after my my hunger regulated. With DS, he just nursed for the last time on Friday. I didn't deal with the hunger(after the initial decrease in nursing sessions) as much but I think it's because we've been stepping down the nursing over the course of the last year.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.

I'll second the month timeline. I'm still nursing DD3 with no end in sight, but I remember taking about a month to adjust after DDs ! and 2. With both, I initially dropped a few pounds and then gained it back. I would just keep doing what you're doing and see where you are in a few more weeks. Also, tons of fruits and veggies if you aren't already doing that.
We still nurse 2x a day at 16 months, but I started gaining once we dropped to 2x a day. Not a lot, just a few pounds (bc we nursed less and bc my workouts sucked.) I track everything on MFP and am trying to get back on track with workouts. I just try to make the healthiest choices I can, while giving in to an occasional craving. I cleaned out our pantry of all the junk. It's much harder to snack when there's nothing to snack on. I make air popped pop corn a lot at night when I feel like I have to munch on something. It takes a while to eat, so I don't tend to go back for other snacks. I also aim to drink at least 64 ounces a day. Being hydrated actually makes me feel less hungry. These are just tricks that are working for me.

I missed this post on MMM, but I'll answer here. DD is actually still nursing a couple of times a day at 23 months, but I don't think she's really getting enough to make up a large caloric need. I agree that it took about a month for me to start to regulate after she drastically cut down her nursing time. I gained a few (3-5) lbs during that time, but it did come off - and my appetite regulated - after a few weeks of tracking on MFP and making sure that I was eating a reasonably healthy diet instead of my nursing diet of ALL THE FOOD NOW.
I started reducing nursing sessions at the beginning of the year, and gained about 5lbs. After about a month I cut back my food intake, and I was starving for a few weeks. It has gotten much better though, and I lost 10 pounds (5 from the weight gain and 5 extra). I haven't nursed since Saturday, and think this is it. My milk is pretty much dried up. My appetite is down right now, but I'm all messed up from the marathon.
