We went to look at cloth diapers at Babies R Us the other day and my husband had a panic attack when he thought we might have to buy 60 diapers (30 for the newborn stage, 30 for the rest of infancy).
I don't think our baby is going to be small enough to even fit into newborn cloth diapers (I mean, I was almost a nine pound baby), so I don't know that we actually need to buy any. And even if she is, it probably won't last long, right? What do you guys recommend for the phase in between birth and when she can fit into the one-size-fits-all snap diapers? What did you do with your kids?
We used disposables for the first six weeks or so. I knew myself well enough to know that, as much as I wanted to CD, I didn't want another task on our plates while we were getting used to a newborn in the house. It worked well for us, and if we have a second, I plan to do the same.
We used disposables until they fit in the one size fits all. I didn't want to buy nb size as I didn't want to only use them a little bit and feel like we wasted money.
I bought 40 AIOs from jennlin I know shevacc wants some (I think just the prints) but I don't think she wants them all. BabyLefty should be outgrowing them right about when you would need them if you want to buy some of them
Had I not gotten them from jennlin I would've gone with prefolds and covers (I have a dozen prefolds as it is and two covers so we can also use those as necessary). I think the prices at greenmountaindiapers.com, kellyscloset.com (I actually registered there for diapers for after the newborn stage), and jilliansdrawers.com are better than babies r us, and there are more choices.

That sounds good to me!
Worst case scenario, we can do disposables until she fits into the one-sizes. I can't imagine it's going to be long
I would say hunt for Earth Day sales, but it doesn't seem like there are any good sales this year.
I haven't looked hard but...I haven't really found anything that's made me want to buy any. Technically I don't really need any/many more diapers since G only uses one for overnight but I was hoping to buy a few cute ones anyway.

I got my initial BG nb stash from their earth day sales... like buy 5 get 1 free? It was nice.
My bmb cd group has been scouring the net for good deals but this year's Earth Day is a fizzlesplatboo.
Dislike. If you find anything worth mentioning, could you let us know here too?
