Hey guys! So I was here briefly about a year ago. I lost about 30 lbs, then I got pregnant! I did mostly a paleo/primal type diet with C25k, MFP (greencrayon23), and weight lifting.
I had my baby, and now I'm ready to get started again. I'd like to join the military after grad school, so I need to lose an additional 80 lbs hopefully by next spring.
My question is about fitbit flex. It looks amazing. What is your experience with it? Is it difficult to sync/use/etc? Thanks!

Hi and welcome!
I have been a Flex user for about a year now. In theory, it's a great tool for tracking and has really made me realize the small things I can do to add up to bigger changes. It's very simple to set up and syncs wirelessly so it requires almost no effort to use. The silent alarm has been great.
However, I have been having issues with charging. After about 6 months, mine stopped working completely. I tried all of the troubleshooting, to no avail. Customer service was excellent and rushed me a replacement. But I'm having issues with it again. It doesn't sit well in the charger, so as a result, I have to be careful to make sure it's connected properly. And even so, it sometimes falls out and fails to charge. That's my biggest complaint, and I'd admit that it's a big one that's causing me to consider the Viviofit instead. I wish they would just come up with a better charging system.
I have a Fitbit Flex and I got one when I was injured and couldn't run but wanted to make sure I was getting in enough steps every day. I don't find it difficult to sync with my iPhone. It doesn't do a great job with any activity other than walking - it miscounts steps when I run. I like the sleep log feature it has and you can sync it with MFP.

Welcome!
My DH has the flex and really likes it. He's had a few random battery issues where it'll drop charge faster than it's supposed to, but other than that he's enjoyed having one. It syncs easily with his Nexus 5.

Welcome back! I have the Fitbit One (not the flex)but really like it and have no problems with syncing or charging. I've worn it for over a year so far. Fitbit customer service is awesome too--I've even lost mine and they replaced it free.
shellfish26 - you should email customer service and get another replacement on your flex. I'd keep bugging them until you get one that works right.
