Wednesday AWs

I just did 6x800 at 3:30 average - that's 15 seconds faster than I was doing them in December. Although that last one kind of hurt.

I went for my run despite feeling kind of down and crappy. It was slow and windy but I'm happy I did it.

I ran into our COO after I was at the gym today, in the cafeteria. He's usually in classes and skipped it today because he was sore from Monday. He asked if I went to class, and then said "oh nevermind of course you did, you're a badass." The other coworker I was talking to agreed. He's never spoken to me before, btw.

So that's my AW. My coworkers think I'm a badass.

So this is kinda H&F related and kinda life related... I went to my 6pm powersculpt class AND had dinner ready by the time DH got home. This rarely happens, and we usually eat late (and take turns cooking), but it felt amazing to have worked out, eaten dinner, and cleaned up by the time we are usually starting to cook dinner.

I ate a ton of italian cookies and candy today at work and logged every single bite into MFP. I'm not proud of my food choices today, but I am proud that I owned them.
I'm considering it a warped version of carb loading for my run in the morning and committing to making better choices tomorrow.

I went for my run in the wind even though I didn't want to go at all. I also did have a decent time given the conditions.

I had my first rainy run of the year today. Too bad it came with crappy wind. I did manage to get a couple speedy miles in there, though.

I cleaned my road bike and my mountain bike, delivered yard bags to donate to our neighborhood clean up day (since I feel guilty that I can't make it since I'll be racing), and went grocery shopping.

I did my 4 mile run (I call it a 'Runch Break' on strava) and brought my average down to 8:29min/mile. This is down from 8:54 when I started back running a week and a half ago. Getting back on form!

Ok, so this has been a pretty good week

Not H&F related, but kind of huge for our family.....

DH is upgrading to captain! He's been a First Officer at his airline for the past 8 years. It's almost double the pay, although he's going to be based in another city and will have to commute for a while until we can move. The wait has felt like forever and now it's here!!!

I ran 3 miles and each mile was under 9 minutes - this is huge for me because of my stress fracture:)

This is a Thursday morning AW cause I was getting ready for bed (so I could workout early this morning) when this was posted. I was looking at my Garmin Connect times from last year and almost all of my training runs are ~ 1 min per mile faster than last year!

Oh and a whine for your enjoyment... Why is my cube neighbor clipping his nails in the office??

No updates yet, but it will all happen out of essentially nowhere if it does. I'm not sure if you know what he does (?), but the end of the season is this month, and so once that's complete, the carousel will start to seriously spin. He's in a small group of finalists already, so they've got a bit of a jump start. In an ideal world, he would leverage this new position with his current and we would get a contract that keeps us here longer, but if for some reason our current place doesn't come back with a strong offer, we would love to be there, too (& by "there" I mean a day trip away from you ).

Which also would happen just as runblondie26 is leaving, shoot! many congrats, Blondie family!!

It's still subject to change, and we probably wouldn't make any move for at least a year or two. Ironically, we'd be swapping states with kams

It's an opportunity we can't pass up, although it means DH will be home much less than he is already. Like only 10-11 days scattered throughout the month. If I think too deeply about the logistics, it sends me into panic mode. I'd rather focus on the bump in pay, lol.

Wow, that's a big improvement! Go you!

Why do so many people think it's acceptable to clip their nails it public? Gross. (I hope it's only hands and not feet )

No way!!!!!! Amazing running out here! The logistics are scary, and that's a lot of time away, but focusing on lots of money is not a terrible idea

I know it's Thursday, but on Wednesday I was mega-exhausted & still got up to run. 5 miles. It felt hard. It makes me worried to run a marathon in 2 weeks. So,this morning I slept in.

ETA: And while I will be thrilled to have Kams closer, I'm not lovin runblondie26 moving so far away. Sure, maybe I haven't made it up for a GTG or ATL race, but now if I do, she won't be there. LOL

I'm also kind of jealous. Sometimes I wish one of our jobs would transfer us, to force a new adventure.
