Ours recently died. It's 7 years old and I know DH spent a lot on it, but he's tried contacting the co. a couple times w/ no replies. At this point, I think we're just going to get a new one.
I like to run "long" distances (which is like 3 miles for me . DH likes to sprint as long as he can, then cool down.
It is also rated as a best buy by consumer reports. We went to Sports Authority and tried all the treadmills and thought it was hands down the best quality for the money.
I have the nordictrack elite 7500 .. for some reason the pictures aren't showing up on the site. Prior to this TM i had a cheapy golds gym brand that i think they sell @ walmart. It got the job done just fine - It was noisy as hell, but it worked great. I only got the nordic track bc my step mom never used it so she gave it to me. It's much quieter, and had a TV display which you can hook up your TV cable to..fancy. I haven't done that, i just hook my kindle up to it and watch that.

We also have a Livestrong 10.0. I wold recommend it depending on the height/weight of your H. Mine is 6'-1" and based on my research and the sales guy, he is borderline for the belt length. Since I am the main user, it works fine for me. Funny enough H said he would never use it, but he has used it quite a bit.
