I need some non-expensive necklaces - I have a FB friend who recently started selling Stella & Dot and was thinking of picking up some things - how's the quality for the price? I am just lacking in larger necklaces for certain outfits and am lazy and thought it may be easiest to buy them from her.
I feel like it's been talked about on here before, but my searching just pulled up all of Stellasmom's posts!
It's good quality, but a bit pricey. If you don't mind eBay shopping, you can pick up pieces on there at a pretty decent savings.
This is a good idea that I forgot about. Some rogue sellers will post on ebay saving you some money since they don't pay the hostess. I have picked up some thirty one bags this way. But if you friend is the one selling perhaps she can give you a deal?
I'm jealous of everyone that has had luck with their S&D stuff. All of mine fell apart / broke fairly quickly. I had two large necklaces - one giant beady one, where the string broke after wearing it 5 or 6 times, and another bubble-style where (a) one of the "bubbles" (or beads / stones / whatever) fell out (I was able to glue back in) but later the chain snapped. I know I had that less than 6 mos and I wore it maybe once every -10 days or so.

I used to sell Stella & Dot (for a few months) and to be honest, all of my trendy purchases are now made at...guess this...Forever 21.
In fact, I have a bracelet from S&D in ivory (sloan bangle) for $59 and I found the same exact one but in mint green at Forever 21 for $9.90. They used the same Chinese factory.
Some of it's kind of cheap feeling, some is not bad. I think a lot of it is overpriced. I like Bauble Bar for relatively inexpensive trendy jewelry, their quality is better IMO.
