My FSIL's bridal shower is next weekend. She wants us all in Derby hats, which is fine. Mine is pink with a big cream flower and ribbon. I had my outfit all planned but found out her sister's dress is really really similar to mine. HELP! Do I just wear my dress or do I find something different?
I don't think those dresses are "really really similar."
Thank you. That's what I thought. FSIL thinks otherwise. Keep in mind as well I'm 5'8'' and a size 8 and FSIL's sister is 5'2'' and a size 0. We will look different regardless of our dresses. Thanks M, I'm just going to wear it.

Thanks ladies. I've actually decided on a different dress just because it looks cuter with my hat So no more tulips, on to black and white mod polka dots!

I'm still trying to wrap my head around people know what someone else is going to wear to a bridal shower. Did the bride demand pics? Does she have to approve? This whole thing is just bizarre.
I know what people wear (and vice versa) when we show up to an event.

I was thinking this too. My MIL and smom showed up to my wedding in the same dress. Woops.

My FSIL is a control freak. And I was just telling her what I was wearing because I was telling her about how the color of part of the flowers matched my hat. Otherwise I wouldn't have told her.
