I hate all the comments I got about being too thin, so I get where she's coming from. Except that there actually is such a thing as "too thin" and "too thin to be healthy." When people in the industry recoil from you in horror it's safe to say your body has crossed the line. That tells me she's not your average size 2 getting ridiculed for having no boobs. I had a boss ask me, as a grown woman, if my doctor had ever spoken to me about my weight because he thought I had an eating disorder. It was mortifying and I cried for days about it. I've never had an eating disorder and at that point in my late 20s I thought I had outgrown my awkward body phase. But as embarrassing as it was that comment did motivate me to be healthier. Hopefully this experience makes the model in the OP soul search too because I'm sure if she's too thin for high fashion runways she is legit too thin.
I think my only caveat on this is that when you're a teen you can look completely insanely skinny despite eating healthy. In our late 20s we can take such criticism and look at our eating habits. If we're teens, we really can look fucked up with no reason.
ITA. If this had been about average models or a teen getting comments from people on the street I'd have a different reaction. I'm basing this all on the fact that it's industry types who are worried about her. I assume they can tell skinny from dangerous, unlike everyone I went to high school with.
