Haven't been on the boards for a while, what with moving and everything.
I just finished the first week at my new job (week 1 of a 4 month training program, oy vey) and I am exhausted. H had delusions of going out and doing something tonight but fortunately it is raining so I declared movie night.
To make this H&F I finally got to see the gym at work and it is pretty decent. Classes and everything, and it only costs $24 a month. I am holding steady at a fairly minimal amount of pain so I am going to try to do some things and see how it goes. I am kind of scared to do a spin class after all of this time off, but I am excited to get back into it.
Met some drunk guy walking around in the touristy area last night who told me about a lot of bike trails in the area. Although now I will actually have to think about and deal with weather. Merp.
ZOIDYPIE I miss you! I miss you here, miss you there, miss you everywhere.
I'm glad things are going well! Hows the fancy new pad? I'm glad your pain level is relatively good. Dogs handle the move ok? It was all so fast, do you feel like you can breathe yet?
I kind of feel like i can plan to breathe later this weekend. lol
We are still half living out of boxes because we still haven't had time to even look for a couch or dressers, so home is not that comfortable right now. But the apartment is GREAT. It is just so nice and worth the absolutely frightening price tag. I come home for lunch every day and that is huge to me. The location is just fantastic. We can walk to so much cool stuff, including the metro.
The dogs handled everything much better than I expected. The skittish one I was worried about had no issue at all. I was worried that the elevators would freak her out and she didn't care at all. The other one handled this move better than the last one, maybe because she has done it already. She didn't eat much for a few days, but otherwise did very well.
I miss you too! You should really plan a trip here. There is just so much great stuff we could do!
And I really miss NM, although I have had the opportunity to grow to appreciate where we live now as well. But the weather, man. The weather.
