I am carb loading for the weekend. I had a double scoop of vanilla custard with Heath Bar from a new custard stand in town. This was after fried chicken tenders and sweet potato fries. At least I walked around a major shopping area to do some shopping including Athleta.

I had a caramel cashew custard waffle cone after dinner. Yum.
My real confession is that I have f-ed up my hip pretty good. But I am still going to run my 5K tomorrow night. I am fairly certain I am going to regret running it.
I had 3 beers and a bacon cheeseburger with fries and aioli. I haven't worked out in over a week...except for sex. That counts right (it's new, be excited, not squicked out)
The American Odyssey Relay is going through town right now, and it is so dangerous. I thought the same thing about the Ragnar this past fall. I wouldn't run down some of these streets without shoulders during daylight, let alone in the pitch black. I saw no warnings to cars (or since I'm in western md big ass trucks) about the race, although it appeared there was police presence. It seems a bit reckless and I hope no one gets hurt.
Mmmm, custard, get in mah bellah! I ordered a pizza to carb load for tomorrow's half and have already had 4 (smallish) pieces, and I'm going back for another once I have room.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
Oh Lord the ice cream, the burgers… I'm so jealous.
I just ate a bowl of LIFE cereal because I'm racing tomorrow and I figured I should eat some carbs. Even though I know that this is not the way it works. I just wanted some cereal, OK?!
Tomorrow is the first race of the local tri season, and I'm a little bummed that I have a zit on my chin and am bloaty mcgee because I kind of want to look nice. It's like the first day of school, when you get to go back and see all of your friends after break!

Holy crap that custard looks amazing. I want to lick my screen.
I've been trying to cut back on refined sugar, but tonight I broke down and had a single-serving pack of Cadbury mini-eggs and several mini peanut butter cups. Thank goodness I managed to control myself at Target tonight and not buy all the 50% off Easter candy because otherwise the damage would have been way worse!
I am posting live from my completely empty Saturday morning spin class. I'm still going through my playlist and getting a workout in, but the girls at the front desk keep staring at me with a WTF look on their face. It's making me oddly self conscious.
DD woke up sick in the middle of the night. H is OOT. So, I had to text the sitter at 3am and tell them that my race is a no-go, no need to arrive at 6am. Bummer all around.
The confession is that I am happily laying on the couch getting some good snuggles, drinking coffee, and reading the magazines that I hadn't downloaded in months, oops. DD is feeling good, just tired, so all is well. Not exactly how I planned to burst into taper, but I am happy to have some quiet time with her.
I had to work at our track meet yesterday, but I wasn't timing, I was clerking. Which means I was on my feet for seven hours straight. In the sun. In flip flops (thought I was timing in the tent). So my face and feet are fried and helloooo farmer tan. Then I had to go to DD2's school talent show until 10 pm. I hadn't eaten since noon. I downed a huge bowl of mini wheats and toast with nuttzo at 10:45, because I had to meet a friend for his first 5k this morning, which I made the middle of my planned 8. Now I'm sitting at DD 3's gymnastics class, STARVING.
Oh kams I'm sorry your little girl is sick and you missed your race - what a bummer!! Do you have other tris lined up this summer besides your IM?
It is a bummer She's snoozing away the day, little honey. I was really excited to crush it today, because this is the course where I have my sprint PR and I think I could have beat it by quite a bit. Oh well. I have another sprint the week before IMTX which I may or may not do, and then an olympic in late June that I will do if I'm recovered enough. So, it is possible that I do a few this year, and possible that I only do IMTX, ha!
This is more a whine than a confession: I ordered a pair of LLL Run Groovy shorts and bought the 4-way stretch instead of the 2-way stretch (I didn't know the difference between the 2 when I was ordering). I HAAATE them - they are way to flimsy. I'm so bummed! I'll have to return by mail because of their awful 14 day return policy.

Sorry that she's sick, but happy to hear that she seems to be on the mend!

I thought she was doing pretty well. We ran to target to get some Popsicles/soup/Gatorade/etc, and she threw up in the store . Omg poor thing, & embarrassed momma. She is back in bed

The groovys make my butt look so weird. The gusset gives me crazy vpl. Maybe I'm the only one. I do love the material of the ones I have. Aside from the crazy butt!

Aw, poor thing Sorry about your race, and I hope the little one feels better soon.
I feel like I need to confess that I have a lot of race shirts that I love to wear after all the pooh poohing race shirts in the other thread. The only long sleeved shirts I ever run in are from races.
I would post some food and wine confessions, but I'd hate to give the impression that I feel guilty about them in any way.
