Anyone have kids and use backless barstools?

Just curious to know how old your kids are, and how old were they when they started sitting fine on them?

Still on the hunt for stools for our island in the kitchen. I think backless stools may work out better where the island is positioned in the kitchen.

I'm wondering how DD would do on them? She'll be 4 in a few days. The stools that I had in mind were something like this:

I grew up with backless stools at the breakfast bar. I do remember sitting on a stool with a back when I was really young, but I think that had more to do with there only being space for four stools (two on each side), and when we ate there as a family they pulled up the step stool/seat thing for me, since I was the smallest and could fit on the end.
I remember sitting at the bar and having lunch sitting on the backless stools when I was around four. It seems like a pretty good age to handle it and be safe, as long as the stools are stable...some tip too easily to make it easy for little kids. Ours were kind of tippy, and I do remember a couple of spills, but it didn't kill me.

we our's when DD was 2 1/2 and she is now almost (3 months) 5. She's done fine in them.

This it's the only kind of chair my kids have sat on, so they started around 2. We don't have any problems.
