I looked back at my training peaks for the last few months and, while it looks crazy, I just have a lot of trouble believing that it happened and that it's enough. I think that is normal for the first time. I am sufficiently freaking out, though. My goal for the next few weeks is to stay in a really healthy headspace.
Friday: 4 mile run, 2 hours of house cleaning, and I pulled a rib muscle stretching too much - ugh:( Sat: 12 mile bike ride - the wind was awful:( Sun: 6 mile run - longest run since my stress fracture!
Friday: 4 brisk miles Saturday: Rest/stretch/roll Sunday: 16miles
Brag: I just finished my 16miler a couple hours ago and I am on cloud nine! My longest run to date. I met a friend/co-worker (I have amazing coworkers and there are four of us training for May/June marathons and a few training for halfs). We ran along a paved trail along the river and it was beautiful and amazing. We got sun, rain, hail, and even saw some lightening in the distance and a nice tailwind on the way back. I felt great. We averaged 10:10 and chatted the whole time, well till the last 0.4miles when we sprinted to the finish . Like I said, I'm totally on cloud nine and starting to feel like I might actually be able to run 26.2 in a little under two months!
Fri - Masters Sat - Rest Sun - Race! Olympic Aquabike. Somehow pulled out 2nd overall despite being seriously undertrained and having a shameful bike. That's my first Olympic, so automatic PR!

That's it. My running sucks right now. I'm running later in the day bc it's staying light later, but I think the higher temps are slowing me down. I went straight from 30-40 degree runs to 70-80.
Brag: My new easy/base running pace is now only about a minute per mile slower than it used to be before baby! I still feel slow but I don't feel soooooo slow any more.
Friday-planned rest Saturday-3.5 mile run were I focused on speed, upper body and core weights Sunday-My first 10K race! It was awesome and I felt really good the whole time!!
There was a whole lot of nothing going on this weekend in regards to exercise which was frustrating to me. We were traveling and I decided it would be best to give my shins a good rest. They better be all rested because it's time to get back into the swing of things!
I'm slightly jealous of everyone who had such good workouts this weekend. We went to TX wine country to celebrate my bday, so my workouts consisted of a lot of walking around and the whole glass to mouth thing too... I officially feel like a pile.
I do have to agree w/Brit though. It's pretty gross running right now already. It wasn't incredibly hot this morning, but I almost felt like I was running through a swamp. And of course it was harder, but I'm not sure if that was due to the copious amounts of wine and food still in my systems, or the weather...

Saturday: local 5K. I finished in 28:35, which is 3 MINUTES slower than my average time, but it was mid 80's and humid, so I'm okay with it. Less OK with the fact that I was passed by two runners with double jogging strollers. My pride!
Sunday: no cardio, but I did a 100 rep challenge (push ups and sit ups). Needless to say, my arms and stomach are sore today!
