Fri: Unplanned rest day. Usually I swim @ 5am on Fridays, and all week I've been dragging after last weekend's travel saga @ my parents/lack of down time. Thurs PM I decided my body needed to sleep "in" until 7 much more than it needed to swim.
Sat: 3:30 brick: 3 hour bike + 30 min run
Sun: 1:55 brick: 30 min bike + 1:25 run
In spite of the unplanned 2nd rest day, I just missed (by 8 minutes) breaking 10 hours of workout time this week. I have a (planned) rest day tomorrow and I think I will still take it.
For my complaint: I'm so tired of riding in the wind and 40* weather.
For my brag: I'm really happy with my running, and am actively enjoying training w/o managing an injury.

Friday: 3.25 miles of intervals Saturday: rest Sunday: 1st 10k race. 1 hour, 2 mins, 56 seconds! Just over a 10 min/mile. I am still on runner's high. It was a great race and course.
Friday - easy 2 mile run Saturday - 15 miles with last 6 slightly faster than goal marathon pace Sunday - work / rest
I'm glad I decided to go longer on Saturday than I normally would 2 weeks pre-marathon. The run started awful into the wind, but did get better. Once I turned around it was awesome. I'm finally feeling better about the rough patch & shortened runs two weeks ago.
F - 6 miles (in the middle of the day, TYVM) S - rest/sleep/recover from my flight S - 5 mile run through Buenos Aires this morning and about 5 more miles of walking this afternoon. The weather here is amazing at the moment.
F - 7.2 mile run Sat - 99 mile bike + 6 mile run Sun - 20 mile run
and now it's TAPER TIME!

You PUT. IT. DOWN!!!!!
My long workouts were in the middle of the week, and my weekend workouts were sort of foiled by my sick little muffin. Totaled about 5 hrs. So, pretty anticlimactic way to slide on in to TAAAAAAAPER!!!!
I did the same race as bostonmichelle and didn't do too bad considering I got sick, and I lost all feeling in both legs and feet. I now want to do another 10k to redeem myself.
I did some yoga on Friday morning followed by a girls' weekend away that involved no exercise other than bringing a glass or some type of food up to my mouth. It was so good to see old friends but I'm ready for a new week and some exercise and healthy eating!
There are some seriously impressive workouts in here - great stuff ladies! I did the Wolf Run with a friend of mine. She LOVED it. Here's a pic, I'm the blonde on the right, but you guys knew that!Attachment Deleted
Fri: 2 mile walk Sat: Rearranged bedroom furniture! Sun: Provided support for a local charity bicycle ride. Lugged cases of water, Gatorade, bananas and ran around getting tools and gear for their bikes. It is worth it to help out the cyclists and support a good cause.

F-6 mile run and yoga and lesson plans S-yoga teacher training-peer to peer lessons, Ashtanga primary series, hamstring practice S- yoga teacher training-flow yoga, rocket 2 series and alignments/adjustments
Friday: spin Saturday: rest Sunday: consecutive 5k and 10k races. FINALLY went sub-30 on a 5k, finished in 29:15. 10k was way rougher, finished in 1:06 (just did the 10k race last year and did 1:02). My plan was to go all out for the 5k and half-ass the 10k but I'm still beating myself up over it. Half next weekend, going to try to pace myself at 10:20-10:30 based on today.
