"I was thinking about getting off on demand, but it sounds like I should be glad that I didn't"
To lose the weight? 3 years. But I took a break a year and half ago when I got knocked up. Started up again when DD2 was 6 weeks old. So it probably averages out to about 50lbs a year.
You look so fantastic and we have some similarities - I lost 90 lbs and it took a couple of years. I am training for my 5th (closely followed by 6th) half marathons. It feels pretty amazing and surreal doesn't it?
Oh and umm, you are a ROCKSTAR for getting knocked up in the middle and still continuing on successfully afterwards. It is hard enough, and to have a break like that in the middle - I imagine that makes it just that much harder. Congratulations!!!
Did you follow a specific diet program in addition to your running to lose the weight?
WW meetings. I started WW doing points and kept with that until the beginning of this year. Then I tried their Simply Filling Technique which doesn't involve points (except on splurges) and it's been a game changer with regards to eating. I was getting lazy with counting points and when I would do long runs, I was never getting full enough then I would be out of control the next day. With Simply Filling I'm actually able to eat as much as I need to keep my body (and mind) in control.
I know WW isn't for everyone (especially the meetings) but I kept going until I found a meeting group that I really clicked with and a leader I enjoyed. It really has made all the difference from when I would try and do it on my own.

I switched from Point to SF as well. I haaaaaated tracking. I just started back, but one of the reasons I'd fall off the wagon was the tracking. Stupid reason, I know. Knowing this is how you lost all the weight is so inspirational to me as I have about 100 to lose as well.
