Any ladies in Chicago?

I have four days off in a row this week, and I've been dying to take a trip somewhere... so I just booked a flight and a room in Chicago. I've never been before; I'm so excited! I leave tomorrow.

Is anyone here in the area? I'd love some recs for delicious food and good bars. Other than that, I'll just be visiting the museums and the shopping district most likely.

Are you going to be staying downtown and are you going to be there over the weekend? If so, I suggest looking into street closures, protest areas, and other "places to avoid" because of NATO.

No, I'm staying about 20 minutes from downtown, and only Tuesday-Friday. Thanks for the heads up, though.

Good timing! If possible, check out Girl and The Goat, it shouldn't be too hard to get reservations during the week. Also, Three Aces has amazing food and is a great bar.

Thanks! I will try to squeeze those places in. I'm such a foodie, and I know Chicago is going to have so much to eat in so little time.

I am! Well, I'm in the burbs now but I used to live in the city and worked downtown for many years. If you're looking for places to eat downtown, some of my faves are Hub 51, Nacionale 27, Devon Seafood Grill, and China Grill. If the weather is nice, Millenium Park is fun for people watching and that's where the Bean is too....plus there's a fun outdoor beer garden there.

My brother lives in Chicago and said the Shed Aquarium has a really cool jelly fish exihibit right now. We hit some of the museums and Navy Pier the last time we were there and had a blast.
