Dabbling in some upcoming 5 & 10k's.
DH will be home on the weekends for about 6 weeks while he's going through training, so I want to take advantage of it.Usually the McMillian Calculator is spot-on for me, but I don't think taking the time from a marathon I was undertrained for will fairly predict what I'm capable of at shorter distances.I'm curious to see where I'm at now.
Training schedule for the week? I need to get back into it this week. Some shake-out runs and yoga.
Any issues or vents?
We were having severe thunderstorms this morning and I didn't risk plugging in the treadmill, and we have dinner plans for tonight. So much for starting again today. Tomorrow for sure.

Any issues or vents? I popped a rib out of place last week and it hurt so bad:( My massage therapist got it back into place so I'm hoping the pain lessens.

I had a good 6 mile run on Sunday and my speed is slowly coming back.

Training schedule for the week? Mon - 5M, Tues - 5M on TM due to rain , Wed- 6M on TM due to rain , Thur- 5xhill repeats + 2 mi warmup/cooldown, Fri- Rest, Sat- 45min tempo, Sun- 13mi
Any issues or vents? Annoyed with the rain over the next few days! I don't know why, but running on the TM makes me just so sad nowadays.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? I was sick for a few days so I had to skip a run, but I'm proud I bounced back and did my Saturday and Sunday runs despite being pretty busy. Plus I was pretty hungover on Sunday for my 11 mile run.
What are you training for? Date? Ironman Texas, 5/17
Training schedule for the week? Taper, week 1! M: masters + 45m run, 1hr hot yoga T: 90 min bike, w/ 20min in Z4 W: masters, 1hr hot yoga R: 45min bike + 15 min run brick, 1hr hot yoga F: Masters, 90 min run S: 3hr ride, 15 min run brick S: rest (maybe 90min yoga)
***I am forgoing all standing poses in yoga right now (and others), with a goal of just being in the heat and stretching. I guess I'm kind of competitive, because I told H I should make a sign for my shirt that says "I can hang, I'm just tapering for an Ironman." LMAO, I would never say that to anyone but you guys & H.
Any issues or vents? A little nagging arch tightness that has been here and away for months. Working the lacrosse ball. I don't think it's a real problem, but I may be cursing it in hour 12 on race day

What are you training for? Date? Mountain bike racing in general. My summer "A" race is in June.
Training schedule for the week? Sunday: Mountain bike race, Monday: 60 minute recovery ride, Tuesday: 22 mile hilly group ride or 60 minute trainer ride (depends on the weather), Wed.: off, Thursday: easy 90 minute ride, Friday: Off, Sat.: 3 hour endurance mountain bike race
Any issues or vents? My back is still bothering me. PT is helping, but I wish it would get better faster.

Training schedule for the week? Mon - rest Tues - rest Wed - 50 mins of intervals Thurs - rest Fri - 30 min run Sat - 5k Sun - either a 2nd 5k or a 45 min slow run
Any issues or vents? I'm feeling exhausted this week and run down
Highlights or AW's from the past week? I beat my goal times for my 10k over the weekend. And I wore my compression socks before and after and didn't have nearly as much muscle cramping on Monday as I did prior weeks.

Highlights or AW's from the past week? I had a really good run on Saturday. I think my hamstring is slowly getting better.
What are you training for? Date? Well not really training for it, but I have the Invest in Yourself 5K this Sunday + a couple more 5ks

Any issues or vents? We are going to the Berkshire Hathaway annual meeting this weekend and running the 5k on Sunday at 8 AM, the only problem is our flight leaves at 10:25. Luckily the airport is 10 minutes away from the race, but I feel bad for the person sitting next to me and Mr. GT on the flight home.

Working through NROLFW
Did workout 3Bii yesterday. Will do 3Aiii tomorrow morning and 3Biii on Saturday morning
I was out from working out for a week and half due to a nasty cold, and it's rough getting back into it. I'm also annoyed that I'm leaving for a conference next Tuesday, so I'll have one more workout from stage 3 to do after I come back from my conference. I can try to alter my workout dates to fit it all in, but I'm not sure if I can manage it.
What are you training for? Date? Nothing exciting. I want to do 10 chin ups by June 1.
Training schedule for the week? M-- 40' spin (5' warm up, 10 intervals b/w 30" to 90" work / rest, cool down) T-- 50 push ups, Teach KB's class W-- off Th-- 5 x amrap chin ups, teach KB's class F-- 40' spin, same as Monday S-- Lift: chin ups, dips, DL, plus 20' HIIT S-- Lift: Bench press, rows, squats, plus 20' HIIT
Any issues or vents? Not really. I hate lifting back-to-back, but it's the only way it works with our schedules. I could lift late at night on Monday or Friday, but that doesn't work for me either. It is what it is.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? I did 6 full chin ups at the gym last week and had an audience of bros, who all high-fived me when I finished.

Any issues or vents? Not really. I'm trying to really work on speed because I want a big PR at my October half, but I want to do anything but run right now. Mostly I want to sleep. I really need to work on my mental game.

Training schedule for the week? Well, we had something last night and again tonight so I'm not sure I'll be able to get my run in. It's an easy week and I'm only supposed to be doing a mile so I may try to get it in tomorrow. I'll be doing a mile with my running group on Thursday, it's the last one of the session.
