I finally got up the guts to register for my A race(s) this year. It's in 3 months, despite not having been in the pool since February - I'm SO excited about it. I'm doing the Cascade Lakes Open Water Swim Series. Essentially, over 3 days, I'll be swimming 3000m, 500m, 1500m, 5000m, and 1000m. The 5k is the USMS National Championship, too. SQUEE!
And the question: would anyone be interested in a swim "workout of the week"-type post? I coach masters and I'll be writing 5-10 workouts a week. If y'all would like, I'd be happy to post a beginner-intermediate-advanced workout series every week?
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.

I WISH THAT WAS NEAR ME. I love the 5k distance. For an east coaster that is a long trip though.
The 10k USMS championship is near me. There's a non-championship (obvs) 5k the same day, which I do every year. I'm debating doing the 10k since it's the national championship this year (for the first time) instead. Only hangup: it's 6 days after IM Timberman 70.3. That's awfully close, and a lot of long racing in a short time span.
