I know a few of our FL girls were thinking about running this next year. Registration opened today for the 2015 race (1/25/15). Prices don't go up until 7/31. Last year, I'm pretty sure that registration filled up 3 months out. I would expect it to fill up a bit quicker this year. There was a lot of positive feedback & interest. I think I'm in for the half. www.celebrationmarathon.com/registration-schedule.html
I'm sure you still have several months to decide. I think it sold out in the first few days of November. Last year, they updated on registration numbers, so if it looks like it's going to fill up, I'll let you guys know.
Me & pinkwillow are debating.. I think the husbands are going to need some convincing.. it ain't like it used to be where we just run amok doing every race we wanted to.

How is she and her wee-one doing? Did she have a girl or a boy?
At least this would be a really quick trip for you guys. We stayed at Melia suites last year, and it was so convenient & easy. They ran a shuttle to the race, and they let us leave our cars there the next morning, way past check-out. There was also a really great Italian place across the street. No reservations, and they seated a table of 9 people with no problem. LOL I love small races!

Okay, so I perused the site a little and I'm still looking for what the big draw to this race is. Pretty course? Flat? Sweet bling? Enlighten me, please!

I don't know that there's a big draw. It filled up quickly it's inaugural year, but it only allowed 2014 people for the half & full combined (I was one of roughly 650 for the full), so it's not like there were a ton of us. The course is the type of course I like. It was pretty, fairly fast (you will never find a course this flat) and logistically easy. I think anyone likes a new course option, so the fact that it's new for FL runners holds appeal. Plus, a lot of people in that area are over the Disney race chaos.
I ran it (al320 did too) last year, and gave it a thumbs up, so the local girls were interested. It was good to me, and my first BQ, so I have a soft spot for it.
