We have Hilton awards and usually stay at one of those. We get free wi-fi and breakfast and it's good to have since we have two little ones. We didn't stay at the Hilton in Prague - we stayed at the Augustine, which is nice.
The Hilton in Munich was a Hilton. The big pro is it's right on the subway which is just a few stops (1 to the Deutsch Museum, I think and 2-3 to the Marienplatz area) to some of the major sites. We stayed at the one in Berlin which is in Gendarmenmarkt and close to Checkpoint Charlie (there are a lot of nice hotels in that area). Both nice, but very busy hotels. Very busy. In Berlin I like the Ku'damm area, but it's a long train ride to get to the other side of Berlin. Gendarmenmarkt area is nice, but the shops are expensive and checkpoint charlie isn't really a place you need to see for more than a few hours. There's a lot of cute boutique type hotels in the Ku'damm area if you need to zone in on an area.
I've heard good things about the Bayerischer Hof, but it isn't the hotel Michael Jackson hung his kid off the balcony at. That was at the Hotel Aldon in Berlin.

We're leaving for Vienna on Tuesday :-)
This time, we're staying at the Marriott Vienna in Parkring. It's supposed to be a good central location, and has a great view of the park! (I'm fortunate to have a friend who works at a Marriott, so she shares her F&F discount with us)!
We met up with my IL's at the end of May last year, in Vienna, and we stayed at this Best Western. It was brand new, so it was a great introductory price. The breakfast there was fantastic, and the rooms were nice! They also folded our towels and blankets into cute shapes, lol. There was a metro station within 2 blocks, and and it's also close to Praterstern.
We really wanted to stay at this Best Western, because it's close to 1516 Brewing Company, our favorite hangout spot. However, when I went to book a room for May, it was unavailable :-( Maybe you'll have better luck!!!
DH and I love, love, love Vienna (hence this being our second trip there in 2 years), so if you need any other recs, let me know :-)
