Three week into half Ironman training (I'm training with a group and a coach this summer so I've got a pretty rigid training plan) and Fridays are our one rest day each week.
Fridays are magical. I slept until 6:30 am and it felt like I had slept all day!
My plan does Mondays as rest days, and it feels really anticlimactic, like kind of a waste of a rest day but after long workouts on Sat & Sun it sure is welcome. I wouldn't be worth much if I tried to workout Monday anyway.
