In a nutshell, Shape magazine refused to publish this picture, and the woman refused to submit a picture with a shirt on. What an amazing, brave woman to be willing to share her story along with a photo showing a real body after such a tremendous weight loss.

I love this comment - "Shape has women in underwear for articles about "staying organized" so there should be no reason you'd have to put a shirt on!!"
I think I would have been way more surprised if they'd actually published the bikini pictures unless it was part of a plastic surgery before/after article they were doing.

I do not like Shape. I had a free subscription and I only had to look through it once to be done. After losing 150lbs w/o surgery, my tummy looks a lot like this woman's (although I still have more to lose). She is very brave to be able to show that off. Shape should be ashamed.
I'm kind of surprised by how unsupportive the comments on the blog are. I think she's right to be honest about what extreme weightloss does to the physical body.
