When you were in Amsterdam, did you buy a pass for the public transport? We will be there for 4 days, and I am trying to decide if we will use it that much. For a 4 day pass we would need to take 8 rides to pay for it, if that makes sense. While I am sure we'll use trams/buses several times, the city does look fairly walkable. Our apt is near the Museumplein. What's your opinion? Thanks!
Hi there! Like sfgal, we walked everywhere when we were there. We were on the Singel Canal near the flowermarket. The only time we took a tram was the morning we left with our suitcases to get to the train station. I think you'd be fine without the pass! Plus, although we didn't really attempt to learn the system, but the trams seemed somewhat confused to navigate. We had no issues walking!
