I posted in the other post, but copying here:
I ran the York County Rail Trail in New Freedom, PA. It dawned on me in the middle of my run that the last time I ran this trail it was also for memorial run (Meg's Miles). Seems kind of fitting to run in a town called New Freedom for Memorial runs. Wore pink and purple for ZB, but I'm traveling and forgot to print my bib - I'm lame.

My Garmin died at 3.2mi when I stopped to take a picture of this sign lol I was a little past my turn around point.

Ran 3.5 miles yesterday in my purple running shirt. I have no clue how to link photos! #lightforzb

I don't know how to PIP on proboards. I ran a 10k with a friend that I met years ago on The Nest. She also knew of Pixy and ZB's story (we are in a Nest spin off group together) and so we ran together for ZB and Pixy. We did wear purple shirts, however, it was colder than we expected so they're covered in our picture. Thoughts of that sweet girl and her amazing mom were in our hearts the whole way.

I did my Pixy & ZB run yesterday, 8.35 miles. (I signed up for the 3.5 mile run.) It was my last "long" run before marathon day.

Rocked my purple shoes & said a prayer before I headed out. Hugs to you pixy0stix

Couldn't get out this morning, but I'm heading out right now, in the only purple H&F gear I own. Purple shorts, purple shoes, purple sports bra, (not shown) purple painted toe nails. It's beautiful here, so I'm going to enjoy some nice miles, thinking of sweet ZB & Pixy, feeling blessed that I'm able to go out & do what I love, & blessed to be apart of such a wonderful & supportive community. xo


ETA: in honor of Pixy's first 10k!

I just got home, and realized I forgot to return a movie to the redbox up the road. Going out for 3 more miles.

I didn't get a pic on my ride, but there was a moment where I was way out in the middle of nowhere and sun rays were beaming down on the red vistas, and the farmland and trees were so green. I thought of Pixy & ZB throughout my whole ride, but this view was so beautiful, and a lovely reminder that hope and beauty can remain.
