I posted in the other post, but copying here: I ran the York County Rail Trail in New Freedom, PA. It dawned on me in the middle of my run that the last time I ran this trail it was also for memorial run (Meg's Miles). Seems kind of fitting to run in a town called New Freedom for Memorial runs. Wore pink and purple for ZB, but I'm traveling and forgot to print my bib - I'm lame. At the Mason Dixon Line
My Garmin died at 3.2mi when I stopped to take a picture of this sign lol I was a little past my turn around point.
I'm crying thinking about how fucking AMAZING YOU ARE.
(also, laughing a little, because, um...I ran your first 5k with you and now we shared your first 10k, which means....TIME FOR A HALF, right? Right?!?)

I don't know how to PIP on proboards. I ran a 10k with a friend that I met years ago on The Nest. She also knew of Pixy and ZB's story (we are in a Nest spin off group together) and so we ran together for ZB and Pixy. We did wear purple shirts, however, it was colder than we expected so they're covered in our picture. Thoughts of that sweet girl and her amazing mom were in our hearts the whole way.

You a ladies are awesome. I forgot to take a pic on my bike ride this morning, but I had a nice ride with a couple of friends. Even though I didn't take a pic, pixy and ZB were on my mind. Pixy, I think about you often. Congrats on your 10k! Hugs
Also, Pixy, I just want to say how proud I am of you, and how honored I was to run with you today. You managed to not only do something really hard, but also to turn in a performance to be proud of.
Couldn't get out this morning, but I'm heading out right now, in the only purple H&F gear I own. Purple shorts, purple shoes, purple sports bra, (not shown) purple painted toe nails. It's beautiful here, so I'm going to enjoy some nice miles, thinking of sweet ZB & Pixy, feeling blessed that I'm able to go out & do what I love, & blessed to be apart of such a wonderful & supportive community. xo
ETA: in honor of Pixy's first 10k!
I just got home, and realized I forgot to return a movie to the redbox up the road. Going out for 3 more miles.
I didn't get a pic on my ride, but there was a moment where I was way out in the middle of nowhere and sun rays were beaming down on the red vistas, and the farmland and trees were so green. I thought of Pixy & ZB throughout my whole ride, but this view was so beautiful, and a lovely reminder that hope and beauty can remain.
