I ran 24:44 at yesterday's 5k. It was very much a fun run atmosphere so the first mile was pretty slow with dodging people (lots of walkers had lined up at the front) but made up some time toward the end. I'd hoped to run 8 min miles and I think this was a hair under that so I am happy!
I'm still waiting for them to upload the times to the site, but my MapMyRun says I ran 6.28 in 1:05:37. My last .3 were SLOW. I had to walk bc I had a terrible side cramp. It's an incredibly hilly course and I didn't pace myself well. It's the first time I've run a race and been disappointed in my results. I'll have to go back and try again next year.
My goal time for the Broad Street Run (10 miles) was 1:40 and I ran 1:30, so I'm happy. It was SO much fun with amazing crowd support the whole way, but the crowd never really thinned out. I was still weaving around people to cross the finish line. But overall, an awesome event!
I placed third at my triathlon. My goal was top 3 so I am fine with it.
But I don't want to look at the results because I know my run was crap. I was right behind second place girl the whole run and I had it in me to catch her, but it would have been uncomfortable, and I didn't think the difference between 2nd and 3rd was worth it. UGH, it's frustrating because I want to be competitive again! I am trying to be patient, and just have fun, but I know at some point I need to either just suck it up or stop complaining about it.
On the bright side, I successfully left my bike shoes clipped into the pedals and I thought my bike looked very cool sitting in the transition with my shoes on the peddles. lol

37 minutes 5k yesterday. Not my worst, definitely not my best, but much better than I was expecting for less than 3 months post- c section with only a few runs in that time!
1:45:11 in the 10 mile broad street run! Quite a bit over my goal, but I really had to battle my pulled groin muscle the whole time. It was a pretty tough final mile for me. But I finished and had so much fun with my sister, so now I guess I'll pay for this run with a few weeks or a month of recovery.
