10 am and I've already FSU for the day! Hit my A goal under 2:30 - garmin time read 2:29:2x for my half marathon!
Happy dance!!
Love it! Awesome course & crowd support, right!? Also, RIP for your beers. Lol. I read about that on their fb page!
Yeah!! Loved all the kids out with jelly beans, homemade cookies, water. There was even a group handing out water and bananas!
Course was beautiful, I loved the run down Market street of course and through all the residential areas.
I was just saying to DH that they are going to have a LOT of beer they don't know what to do with. I finished at 9:30, no way was I sticking around until 11! So sad!
I ran 24:44 at yesterday's 5k. It was very much a fun run atmosphere so the first mile was pretty slow with dodging people (lots of walkers had lined up at the front) but made up some time toward the end. I'd hoped to run 8 min miles and I think this was a hair under that so I am happy!
Your baby is like a minute old. Wow, that's awesome comeback race Shelby! Go mama!
On the bright side, I successfully left my bike shoes clipped into the pedals and I thought my bike looked very cool sitting in the transition with my shoes on the peddles. lol
I ran the Pittsburgh half and finished about a minute slower than last year's time. Whomp, whomp. I am disappointed, but I did stop to pee so I blame it all on my poor planning pre-race. Overall, the course, the weather and crowd support was awesome. And I got to meet up with @sessalee so it was an all around win of a H&F weekend.

Here is proof the real-life existence of myself and sassystace! She's really awesome, guys.
My goal time for the Broad Street Run (10 miles) was 1:40 and I ran 1:30, so I'm happy. It was SO much fun with amazing crowd support the whole way, but the crowd never really thinned out. I was still weaving around people to cross the finish line. But overall, an awesome event!
Great job today, everyone!!
Nice job! I was just under 1:35 this year. Definitely a packed course. But the weather held out and it was a pretty good morning. Also, I'm pretty sure Cecily Tynan walked by me as I was waiting to meet my DH outside the Navy Yard.
I ran a 10k today...didn't hit my A goal, but hit my B goal. 49:24, good for third in my age group, 10th overall. It was fun, but man, am I out of racing shape. I won a mug. And then I drank free beers until I was drunk. I'm still drunk now. YAY for race day!
Pacing the half went great, we came in less than a minute under our posted time (2:19:45, posted was 2:20) and had a blast. Plus I got to hang out with bluedaisyus after the race!
oops - didn't post my time. First race ever (I did a neighborhood 5K a couple weeks ago), started running when I found out I got into Broad Street Run about 2/3 months ago. Did it in 1:44 today! I felt like I could have done better but now I'm exhausted so I don't care :-)
Just really started getting back into running 2 months ago after having DS3 (who is now 9 months old, so no excuses really).
58:31 on a very hilly 10K course. I wanted to be under 1 hour, which I was, but I felt like the whole race was a struggle...I think I started out too fast. Oh well!
