Using Athleta's "try and see if you like it" return policy

Has anyone used Athleta's or Running Warehouse's "try it and see if you like it" return policy?  I ordered shorts (from RW) and a tank (from Athleta) thinking that would be what I wanted to wear for my half marathon in June.  The outfit was a disaster though.  The tank rode up very badly and the short liner gave me the worst wedgie.  Both stores off a return policy where you can try out an item and still return it.  I feel really weird returning clothes that I worked out in - I know they have that policy for this very reason though.  Has anyone else returned used workout clothes?

Aaannnnd now I'm back to square 1 figuring out what to wear for my long runs...

Running warehouse has an excellent return policy. They'll take it back with no hassle.

I ordered shorts from RW that didn't work out for me last year, but I felt weird returning them so I didn't try. That's on me. I did return a Garmin 2-3 months after buying it from RW and they were really great about it. The HR strap that came with it had never worked, it just took me that long to get around to returning it.

agreed - i ordered some tanks last summer when there was a blowout sale for $10 (anyone remember the sheer brooks tanks?! I returned that one). Returns were easy.

That is my complaint with Athleta shorts. All of the liners ride up. Anyway, I've never done it w/workout clothes, but I've returned shoes to RW. No problems at all.

I returned a pair of shorts to Athleta. They came without tags and felt stretched out. I wore them twice and returned them because they didn't stay in place like my other Athleta shorts. I had no problem returning them.

I've only done it with shoes at RW, but it was no problem at all. It is part of the service they offer, so I don't feel bad using it.

Try athletes presto short. Amazing long run shorts with pockets on the side. They are tight fitting (like bike shorts) so they don't ride up! No chaffing either

No, but I returned a ton of stuff I mailed ordered to the store. They processed the refunds with no questions.

I wouldn't feel bad for a second, that is what the policy is for.

Although I wonder what they do with all those returns. All this talk of liner wedgies is making me wonder where my shorts have been before they got to me

I did it with Athleta no problem. They asked if it was worn, tagged it as worn and returned without issue

Ugh, I know!  I'll definitely wash it before returning it (OBVIOUSLY).  But I wonder if they have a giant end-of-the-year sale for employees or something.

I've returned swim suits to athleta after trying them. I talked on the phone to them about it and they actively said try the next size for a couple workouts and if that doesn't work, send it back and try the next size, and they meant it.
