AW: DH won & I placed!

Omg, you guys. I had my first race since my last knee surgery on Saturday and it was awesome! It was a small, local race for a charity fundraiser and I was with a group of colleagues (and my boss). DH won 1st overall and I finished 2nd in my Age Group. Never in a million years did I ever think this would happen. All the serious runners ran the 8K so we did well in the 3K LOL.

DH was called up to the stage and won a $100 gift card! Then we left and went to socialize with colleagues. It wasn't until the race results were posted online that I saw I finished 2nd in my AG lol. I probably just missed my one and only chance to ever win an award but I am ecstatic! And I think it is hilarious because it was so slow and I stopped to tie my fricking shoes 3x.

Anyway, just had to share. I so wish I ja a picture! My co-worker took one of us before the race so maybe I'll snag it.
