No, she never said anything more to me. I just checked J's IG, which also used to be private (I deleted her after I let her know what was going on) and her feed is now public, too! Pretty sure I'd be on lockdown for life after something like that.

I really do wonder if she knew. If someone told me this happened, I would warn family and friends to delete her/check their public settings. And not make stuff public/have family keep her as a friend.

This confuses me as well and was never cleared up. Ellie said that if Jlm signed back in, she'd be able to see if any new names matched the IP address. But then jlm got deleted. So did Ellie delete it or did jlm sign back in?
