Yes! I would want to know what stories are now connected to my photos, how long has this been going on, and so on. I wouldn't be all "ok, well that is a shock, I'll talk to her" about it.

I think, if Vaba wasn't Devin, Devin's stuff wouldn't be locking down as soon as it is mentioned. If someone stole Devin's info, I doubt the catfisher would be alerting that person that this board is discussing her stuff.

I have no idea if this is what you mean (probably not) but some people monetize it.  Like, they get a shit ton of followers and then they sell their account to a promoter who then uses the account to advertise.  Like the Terrorist Tweet Girl that gained a bunch of followers after it went viral and then tried to sell her account.  Though, that wasn't what she was originally going for.

Why regular people who aren't looking to make money care?  I have no idea.

I wasn't aware of the monetization aspect. However, if I followed someone and then their account turned into promotional shit 24/7, I would personally unfollow really fast. How much money are people really making off of this?
