My 11 year old dog threw up 4 times since eating his dinner last night. He is otherwise acting normal--no shaking, relaxed, etc. I'm thinking I should watch him today, and take him in tomorrow if he's still vomiting. Thoughts?
If he's drinking water and doesn't seem dehydrated (check his gums), and goes to the bathroom ok, I would probably wait and see. You might want to verify this, but I think I've read to withhold food for ~24 hours then feed a bland diet (boiled chicken and rice) to calm his stomach.
Oh poor puppy. Ditto on the withholding food and then easing him back in with bland food. With Dexter, we sometimes give him food before the 24 hour mark, but we've learned that his system allows it. Even then we generally don't give it within the first 12 hours. Since he seems to have a preference for throwing up between 3 and 4 am, the earliest we would give him food would be dinner that night. I hope your pup feels better soon!

If you can't pinpoint a reason he might be sick I would take him in because of his age. Seniors are more prone to a lot of conditions and they're easier to treat if you catch them early.
Poor guy Is he still drinking water and peeing like normal? Assuming he is, I'd hold off on feeding him for today and if he's still puke free give him some boiled (or canned) chicken and rice tomorrow and see how he does.
