Athleta sizing

I want to order some shorts from Athleta, these  but I have no idea what size to get. the sizing chart says I should get a small? These seems bananas. How do athleta shorts fit?

IMO, they run big. However, with those being spandex, I might trust the chart.

My shorts from there have been TTS-based on my measurements the size chart said large and they fit great.

I agree that most Athleta clothing runs big. They offer free returns, so I'd get two sizes and return the one you don't want.

Related question: does Athleta have sales (on non-sale section) clothes? I'd like to try the 2 in 1 Pulse shorts, but I can't pull the trigger on $59 shorts.

If you're debating between 2 sizes, I'd err on the smaller side. Everything has been TTS or slightly larger than the chart indicated, IME. (Fwiw, I'm currently wearing and XS in their bottoms, and I still have some more to lose. Your little leggies will be swimming in their size small).

Can I just tell you how much I love their 2-in-1 line? Intense love.

They have sales sometimes, I'll alert you if I see one.

Runs big. I usually wear a medium, but wear a small there.

Runs big for me. I'm typically a size S and my shorts are an XS.

Oh and yeah, runs big IMO. I have medium skirts and they're kinda roomy.

Last year they had 20% off sale in late June, early July, I only know the dates cause I asked for Athleta for my birthday.

I think the spandex stuff runs pretty true to size, some of the shirts I have are a little big.

Overall it runs big, but check the comments b/c their sizing isn't consistent.

Eta: I read the comments and it looks like they fit more TTS than their non spandex shorts.

I posted this in the thread about the Roga shorts: I always size up in my shorts, I don't like them tight at all. I wear a size 4/27 jeans and almost always get a size medium and even then sometimes feel like shorts are too tight. IDK, I'm probably weird. All that to say, I always get a size medium at Athleta.
