I ordered a pair in the 4" in my normal size (medium) and they are like shorts made for dolls. They are so tiny. So, I would say size up. I'm curious other people's experiences.

I have the 4" (Mac Roga).
I did the size chart and was a small so that's what I got..and they fit fine.
I can see how people would think that they are really small--I'm used to wearing this size short though so I don't feel like they are tiny--I think if I went up to the 6" now I'd feel like I was wearing balloons.
Mine are the normal (not the long or the Mac). They seem like a normal running short length to me, though I wouldn't want to go shorter. If you want a short that looks closer to what the elites race in, then I think you want the Mac.
Edit: I'm a small or sometimes x-small in most athletic stuff. I ordered a small in the Roga & it's good. I think if you are borderline you'll want to size up in Oiselle stuff.
I went to the web to double check these lengths because I was getting confused.

I wear the regular Rogas with the 4" inseam. The 6" felt a little too long. I also went up a size. Techmically the smalls fit when I tried them on, but I was more comfortable in the mediums.
I have the regular ones. I bought up a size and they fit me a little looser but I bought them when I was pregnant and other shorts didn't fit so well. I don't mind them a little loose but if you like more fit, then they fit true to size
I have the regular (4") in my normal size. I feel like I could have sized up b/c they are a tad short and form fitting around the butt. I know that is how they are supposed to fit, but it has taken a little getting used to.
so for those that have these, how would you compare them to say Nike sizing? I wear a M in Nike, but I feel like they run large. I've been wanting to order these for a while now.

I have smalls in Oiselle and Nike. The Oiselle's are smaller/tighter, but not a full size smaller if that makes sense. My Nike stuff is all 10 years + old though, so take that for what it's worth. I could probably size up in Oiselle, but I don't have to. I could not size up in Nike.

Thanks! I think I will be buying myself a mother's day gift today
Running Warehouse has free shipping and free returns, so you could order two sizes if you wanted to try them and mail back the size that doesn't work. breezy8407
I always size up in my shorts, I don't like them tight at all. I wear a size 4/27 jeans and almost always get a size medium and even then sometimes feel like shorts are too tight. IDK, I'm probably weird.

I'm a small in Nike shorts, and I wear a medium in the Rogas. I could wear small Rogas, but they have a slimmer fit through the hips, and I feel more comfortable in the mediums.
