I am going to get my gait analyzed on Sunday at a Saucony StrideLab. Anyone done this? I have had the regular gait analysis done a bunch of times, but this is like analysis on steroids. It looks really interesting.
I had a gait analysis that looks pretty similar to this done at PT last year. It basically told me what they already were able to tell from my injury though (bad IT band syndrome 2/2 weak hips). There were a bunch of videos involved and stuff. Tell us how it goes!
I had one last year when I hurt my foot. I was wearing shoes with no arch support and my gait analysis showed I have high arches. They gave me a list of shoes that would be good to try for me, based off of their results. I actually am so glad I did it and found a pair of shoes I love and that works well for me.
ETA: I didn't do that exact gait analysis you posted about, but it was similar.
Was it easy to get an appointment? I wonder if I should try to go down there? My gait is so wonky these days with foot strike (I'm seeing it in race photos), I'm just curious about things.

So, an update. It was really cool! They have 4 cameras on you, and the treadmill has pressure sensors under it.
The sensors measure how much force you use on impact and through the stride. He said my impacts look nice and even.
The camera on my back showed a slight hip drop on impact, which he said was the cause of my IT band issues. He said it is really common in women to have this issue, and told me to work on some gluteus medius excercizes to correct and stabilize.
The side camera showed minimal heel striking. He suggested trying to reduce that even further, but that I was starting from a good base.
The top down camera showed my shoulders in good alignment. He said my arms come a little far across my body, but overall good there.
The last camera is the 'typical' stride analysis one- back of the leg. I have always been a mild over pronator, but with stability shoes, this is corrected and the video definitely showed this.
I ended up with the new model of my previous shoes. The guy said they looked great.
So, there we go! It was really cool. They also keep your profile on there, so you can track changes over time.

I went to the StrideLab a week ago, since I was out of town for the AMR event. (TARA!!! WHY DID YOU SKIP IT?!?!? GOODIE BAGS!!!!) People in the store kept trying to walk in like it was their "turn" or something, not knowing you needed an appointment. The technician was all, "Uh, we're not done." One guy even tried to start up the computer while the tech was getting me some shoes to try on!
I have a hip drop too, probably because of an old ankle injury I'm still compensating for. My biggest problem is that my stride is a little too long, so my knee isn't bent enough. I need to work on shortening my stride and increasing my cadence.
And I was forced into new shoes, since Mizuno discontinued the Wave Alchemy and the Paradox feels TOTALLY different. *sad trombone* I ended up in a pair of Asics and I'm not sure if I like them yet. Like, I'm considering buying every pair of the Wave Alchemy 12 I can find.
