Orbitz price assurance

Is this legit? Has anyone actually used orbitz and really received a refund because someone else booked for a lower price after you?

My dad has received several refunds from Orbitz, however they were all from family members booking the same flights or hotels for one of our family vacations. Ie I booked my flight for my cousin's wedding 1 months after my parents booked their tickets and it was $50 cheaper. It would be hard for a random person to book your exact flight and connections, although possible. I would think you'd have a better chance of getting a refund for a hotel. They do take an average of 6-8 weeks to get to you though. But it's good to know that they actually honor their refund policy!
