Packing my house today **update**

I'm just sitting in the driveway. I know I need to go in soon. He refused to let me have the house to myself to pack so I'm collecting myself - I don't want to cry in front of him. It doesn't look like her car is here - I guess she's already gone to work. I want to be finished by the time she gets back.

It is going to be everything I can do to not just start screaming as I go through my bedroom and sort out what is mine from what is hers. But I have my Valium now and a great bottle of wine waiting for me this evening.

The good thing I guess is that I'm taking nearly all of the furniture, everything in the kitchen - they won't be able to stay there comfortably.

Also - I HAVE MY OWN PLACE AGAIN TOMORROW!!!!!!!!! Its just going to be me and Bella and while it is quite sad, I am also so happy to be moving on.


UPDATE:I continue to be overwhelmed by all of the love and support both here and off board. My friend brought back up. Four of my girlfriends showed up with wine and old 90s cds.

Everything I wanted is packed. The house looks totally trashed...very how the grinch stole christmas pre heart enlargement.

He actually ended up leaving a little bit ago so now I'm just waiting for the laundry to finish so I can pack the rest of the clothes I left here. Then the movers come tomorrow to take everything to my new place.

I am overwhelmed by everyone's kind words and support. I cannot say thank you enough for the strength you give me.

I'm so sorry. That's going to be really tough. You will get through it though, even if you break down. It will be a huge step in moving on though. Think about how much lighter things will feel once it's over and you're in your own place.

If you were my friend I would want to be there. Sure, it will be awkward, but not nearly as awkward for your friend as for you. I would not want a close friend doing that alone. I know it may be too late, but if you have any friends nearby who aren't at work today I would consider calling one of them now, both to help you move faster so you can vacate before he returns and to be a buffer if he does come back.

HC, don't feel like you're imposing on your friends! Seriously. If I had a friend going through something like this, I would hope they would lean on me. It's hard not to feel like you're always asking people to do something for you, but a good friend is going to bear some of your burden when you need her to. It sounds like you've got people like that in your life, and that's a great thing!
