Registered for Wineglass Half!!

I just registered for the Wineglass Half Marathon!! My SIL and I wanted to do a fall half. I remember ladies on here speaking highly of the race. It is only three hours from our home. Wine, glass, fall in NY, and while some hills, seems reasonable; it seemed like a winner for us.  This will be my second half marathon.  My first was a bit of a disaster (shortened course ) I am very excited to be participating in this race.  Thanks!!

THe "hills" in that race arent hills. Its pretty much flat. Id call them inclines, there are two. Theyre SO minor, its a great course and race! Enjoy!

Yay! I really want to do that race but I am having a hard time bringing my H on board...and all of my friends want to do the Harrisburg Half instead.

There are definitely no major hills on the course, just really one or two slight inclines, I think only one in the half. Good luck!

I'm doing the full! It'll be my first full! After my first run in 60+ degree weather I'm not sure that I'm going to survive summer marathon training, though!

I'm jealous - enjoy! It's a 5 hour trip for us - just not fair to have the baby and DH in the car for 10 of the 48 weekend hours.

Enjoy! It's on my bucket list. I'm hoping I can make a long weekend out of it next year with DH for our anniversary.

I'm jealous! My friend and I were looking at that one, but for next year. I can't sign up for anything except for at the last moment right now because of our TTTC I also can't train for any long distances right now either.

Calvin is looking for a fall half, for his first. I had thought Wineglass was full so I did not suggest it to him. I would love to do it too, but I have a bib for Mohawk Hudson a week later.  I was going to try to PR, although I don't care where I do the PR.  Run both? Run Wineglass and sell my Mohawk Hudson bib (xfers are allowed this year)? Just run Mohawk Hudson?

Tough question. I think if it was his first, I'd go to spectate his, maybe ride your bike along the course to root him on, then run MH. The courses are really similar, in that they're mostly downhill/flat, but Wineglass looks like it has some slightly steeper hills thrown in. Any hill on MH once you leave the Colonie Town Park are speedbumps.
