Hi ladies! I ran my first timed 5k since high school cross country (sophomore year). I'm so proud and wanted to share! Ran DC's 2014 Komen Race for the Cure with a bunch of colleagues to support our co-worker. Today I ran a 28:30 which is only about 3 minutes slower than my high school self (not really fast at the distances, more a 400meter girl). But still, very proud that I broke 30, which was my goal
Now I am off to date night with H, where I will be enjoying some post-race mexican food & margaritas.
(BTW...I intro'd myself here a few weeks ago and have been largely lurking for inspiration and tips, you guys seriously rock.)
Great job and awesome time! I was also a sprinter in HS and getting into long distance has been an adjustment, but fun. Enjoy your dinner, you earned it!
