I have been sick as blah all week. I spent my entire Friday either in bed or on the couch after being sent home from work by my boss. I don't think shivering during the staff meeting I was leading was good....while I was sweating.
I woke up this morning feeling blah. I had to go to the race to pick up the tshirt since I'd pre-registered. I said I'd ride around it if didn't rain. It didn't rain. Blah. I completed all 21+ miles on the mountain bike. I was so slow on purpose. Every time I got out of breath in the first 10 minutes I started a huge coughing fit. I slowed it down, put myself on cruise control, and finished. I got 6th and my tshirt, which isn't saying much. I did really well as this race last year. I spent the rest of the day in bed, on the couch, or in my office chair. I still feel icky.
