I have been doing a spin class for a couple months now. On Saturday my leg hurt during class. The pain is on the side of my right leg near the knee and kind of wraps behing the knee. I am hoping its just a pulled muscle. Any thoughts/advice?
Have you been set up on the spin bike? Your instructor can help with this although not all are knowledgable about bike fit. Do you use clipless pedals? Your cleats may not be adjusted properly for you. Without paying for a bike fitting, I'd Google "bicycle cleat position" and read up on it. Cleats should usually be under the "ball" of your foot.
Do you bounce when you spin? If so, stop. Work on keeping your spin/pedal stroke really smooth even if you can't get up to the RPM the instructor says you want. Your backside should stay in the saddle with no bouncing.

That could be the problem. I will hopefully have a new instructor tomorrow moring and I will ask her. The male instructor I have been going to doesnt exactly seem to know too much besides how to stop, haha.
I am wearing normal gym shoes when doing the class.
Make sure your saddle isn't too high or too low. You want about a 10 degree bend in your knee. This is harder to do in gym/tennis shoes than when you use cycling shoes, and spin bikes are not made for small adjustments. Hopefully, the new instructor can help.
