The only issue is that a lot of my running clothes don't fit my post-partum body that well (specifically my running tights from Target), so I may have to buy some pricier tights. For now I've been wearing cotton yoga pants, ugh. I just don't want to spend the money yet until I lose more weight - it would kill me to spend a ton of money on transitional clothes!
My highlight is that I did Week 1 just like I scheduled! I'm already getting more used to setting my early alarm. On Thursday, it was raining hard which would have been fine except I couldn't find my fitness belt to keep my phone in, and there is no way I could run without my phone. So I went back to sleep...but forced myself to run after A went to sleep that evening (and I found my belt when I got home). I hate post-work running but I needed to do it. So I managed to stick to my planned schedule anyway!
What are you training for? Date? Spring/Summer Mountain Bike Races
What is your training plan for the week? Sat-Race, Sunday-43 mile road ride, Monday-60 minute recovery ride, Tuesday-Spinal Injection/Off, Wed.-Probably off, Thursday-Easy ride or trainer ride, Friday-Off, Sat.-MTB Race or 3 hour road ride
Any vents or issues? I have my spinal injection today, so I need to see how I feel the next few days. I may have to take a couple of days off. I'm also getting over a sinus infection.
What are you training for? Date? Newport Marathon October 2014 (I still haven't officially signed up)
What is your training plan for the week? I'm not really following any sort of plan yet. I'm just trying to get in the habit of running more consistently since I had cut way back due to injury.
Any vents or issues? I got new shoes and they are phenomenal! That was definitely my issue. However, I think I messed up my left shin pretty badly from trying to hold out on shoes so it's still giving me trouble.

Any vents or issues? It's gotten hot and humid over the past couple of days, but the warm weather has made my hamstring feel better when I run, so I can't really complain.
Highlights from last week? I signed up for a coached marathon training program that starts in a month. I'm nervous.

Any vents or issues? Right hip pain throughout my long run on Saturday, I took Sunday off and it's still bugging me yesterday. It hurts for the first few miles and then feels a little better the last few miles. I've been stretching it and not really sure what I should do about it.
Highlights from last week? Did a test run on my potential marathon course. It's definitely flat and fast. I was maintaining a decent pace without too much effort. There were a few rocky parts I didn't like very much, but most of the course is pretty smooth.
Just have to pull the trigger and commit, may do it today. Eep!
What are you training for? Date? Running a 5k with work this weekend (not trained for it though!), 5/30 Sprint Triathlon, 7/4 Peachtree Road Race and December Kiawah Marathon!

Any vents or issues? Other than I am SOOO tired. I can't get my lazy butt in gear in the AM to run, that and I get nervous running around our temp apt. Can't wait to move!
Highlights from last week? I ran outside during lunch- and it felt fastish. I also didn't stop sweating for an hour after I ran, but I did it!

What is your training plan for the week? This is a testing week for the next block of training. Testing weighted pull-up, front squat, clean, snatch, bench.

What are you training for? Date? Nothing in particular. Planning to run a 5k this Saturday and possibly 2-3 more before July.
What is your training plan for the week? I can never answer this, as I make up my workout for the day as I'm putting on my sneakers.
Probably better if I post the previous week's workouts:
Mon: Off Tues: 5 mi run Wed: Off Thurs: Off Fri: 5 mi Sat: 5.25mi, 20 min elliptical Sun: 6.25mi
Any vents or issues? DS is so awesome and chill, but it didn't stop him from waking and screaming like a banshee every 2-3 hours each night last week. Thank goodness those first couple teeth have broken through now. I was in survival mode last week.
Highlights from last week? DH got home early enough from his trip so that we could go out for nice Mother's Day dinner Sunday night.
Vents or Issues: I need to slow my roll on the post marathon weight gain. Eh. I'll worry about it next week
Highlights/AW's: my first (maybe only, hah) sub 20 and another pie win (2nd F). I got an REI water bottle and hat too.
Congrats again on that awesome 5K!
I hear you on the post-marathon thing. I'm in an odd place after this marathon because it's not like I was in peak shape for it. I still have a some more work to do to be at my "happy running weight". But I'm like "Meh, I just ran a marathon and *most* of my clothes fit right". I'm fighting not to be complacent now.
All these 5k reports are stoking the fire though. Keep 'em coming ladies!

What are you training for? Date? Half marathon on 10/19, and probably a 5 or 10k or two in the meantime. And I signed up for a quarter marathon on 11/1 since it was super cheap and it'll help keep me from slacking off after the HM.
What is your training plan for the week? A few miles tonight, Thursday and Saturday. A DVD on Wednesday and Friday. I officially start my HM training with my group on 6/7 (although of course I'll be OOT for a family wedding that day so I'll miss it).
Any vents or issues? I am kinda sorta maybe thinking about getting back into cycling...and possibly at some point a duathlon. I don't know. A running friend has gotten into them and is trying to convince me to do it with her, and I used to LOVE cycling. The only problem is I haven't done it with any regularity for a while and right now the only bike I have is a 2006 Trek 3900 mountain bike. So yeah. I'd really need to look into something else, and that's really not in budget right now. Oh, and I need to get some new running shoes. Mine are still okay but won't last through the summer and I'd like to get another pair now so I can start rotating them in.
Highlights from last week? Not really, just keepin' on keepin' on.

Any vents or issues? Not really...I'm just hitting the wall with school right now, which drags me down/makes me tired, which means I never want to do anything.
Highlights from last week? My 10k last week was great...it was a super ego boost to know I could do that. Maybe I won't be slow forever?

What are you training for? Date? Father's Day 10K in June, Metric Marathon in Sept., and a bunch of random 5Ks and 10Ks in the middle.
What is your training plan for the week? T: Hill workout with training group W: Planned rest (but I may do a run, depending on how my ankle feels) T: 6 mile moderate pace F: Planned rest S: 10 miles S: 4 miles at 90-100% effort
Any vents or issues? Yeesh. The ankle. That little nubby bone below my big ankle bone? (Clearly, I don't work in orthopedics.) It's incredibly painful to touch. Which means when I wear shoes. But when nothing is touching it, I have zero pain and full movement. No redness or bruising. It could be my shoes, but I have been wearing the same shoes for years and this thing just started 3 weeks ago. I haven't run since Saturday to ice and Aleve it, so I am hoping that it will be OK tonight. Anyone have any thoughts on this? I may also try to run with my insoles tonight to raise it above the edge of my shoe.
Highlights from last week? Awesome long run on Saturday despite the humidity and my ankle.

What are you training for? Date? Reverse Sprint Tri, this weekend, Olympic Aquabike, 6.21, then July/August races
What is your training plan for the week? My plan has been thrown to the wolves thanks to all sorts of last minute issues that came up. Ran yesterday, forced off today, ride tomorrow & Thursday, easy swim Friday, Race saturday.
Any vents or issues? 1. My schedule 2. Brooks discontinued the running shoes that work for me 3. Our a/c died, and it's humid as hell, so sleep has been miserable
Highlights from last week? I honestly can't remember what happened last week.
M - rest Tu - 4 mi run W - strength Th - rest F - 4 mi run Sa - 6 mi run Su - strength
AW - longest run since, uh, last September last week! 6 mi. It was also my fastest training run recently (8:45 pace) but I was running on a nice flat path in Illinois rather than hilly ATL.
