Right now I have MFP set at 35% protein, 35% carbs, 30% fat. I'm always well over on fat and 10% under on protein. What do you shoot for? Even when I add more protein, I feel like just the fat goes up.
It's pretty physically difficult to eat more than 35% protein. You just can't choke it down unless you're eating it with fat.
Pick a # of grams goal like 1g per lb of body weight and calculate what percentage of calories that will be and go from there.
Ok, thanks. That's helpful. I couldn't figure out if I was doing it wrong. I eat a decent amount of meat and dairy, plus protein powder in almond milk for breakfast and hard boiled egg for snack.'x and Greek yogurt for dessert. It feels like an awful lot.

I shoot for 145g of protein a day and it can be hard to manage. I eat eggs, egg whites, Greek yogurt, fish, and protein powder to satisfy that. Sometimes a protein shake is the LAST thing I feel like consuming, but I know it's good for me!
I have a hard time getting over 100g of protein a day without protein shakes. I can add a 1/2 scoop of protein powder to a smoothie, but I've yet to find a plain protein shake I like.
I wouldn't worry about the fat percentage as long as you are eating healthy fats like avocados and nuts/
