I can't remember when I went to my OB for the first time last pregnancy. Do I make an appointment now? How bad is it that I cannot really remember when my last period was?
rikki my OB does the first appointment around 8 weeks, I'd just go ahead and call and see what they say. You have plenty of other things to keep yourself busy than remembering your last period I'm sure they'll do a dating u/s if you really aren't sure.
That is mostly a rhetorical question, lol. But any suggestions would be great, even if the suggestion is "Just get over it and give her a chunk of banana, you wimp."

Definitely call today and they'll let you know when to come in. It may be soon since you can't remember when your LMP was.

I had the same issue. My best advice is just do it.
When would you feel comfortable letting your LO have a thin blanket (like an A&A) or a stuffed animal in the crib with them? He sleeps with a lovey now and has for a few months (almost 10mo), but H likes to stick a stuffed animal that sings in the crib with him because he says it gives him something to play with when he wakes up.

I made another thread about this but it looks like people are in here...
I've seen people say here that they had to just let their LO "figure it out" when it comes to sitting up and trying to crawl in the MOTN. My 8 mo old DS got up like a gajillion times last night and would just be sitting up screaming. If I laid him back down, he would cry and sit right back up. I tried letting him fuss it out but that wasnt working.
So, what does let them "figure it out" mean? Eventually he will stop crying and lay back down? I'm nervous that he will start falling asleep and knock his head on the crib or something. Plus it ended up being over 2 hours of cycling through crying, me laying him down, him sitting up and crying, me rocking him to sleep, just to have him sit up instantly and start crying again.
Or tell me that this is a short lived phase and in a week he will stop forgetting how to lay back down.
lulu21 I think white noise does work. Even at daycare in the toddler room they play soft music during nap time since they all nap together at that point.
cincodemayo, unless E was doing her "OMG I AM DYING" scream/cry we just had to let her figure it out. We ended up doing CIO at 9m b/c no one was getting any sleep and we were all miserable. Going into her room just works her up more.
Does white noise really work? I downloaded an app because J is a fussy mcfussypants. I'm currently listening to 'hair dryer'.
White noise was magical for DD when she was a newborn. If she was crying, it would always soothe her. As she got older, sometimes the ocean noise wouldn't cut it, so we'd have to scale up to hair dryer or vacuum. She still sleeps with white noise, though it's possible she could sleep without it. I like it because her bedroom is on the main floor of our house, so it blocks out any noise we make while she's sleeping.
My dumb question - how do I feed my child? We were given the ok to start vegetables. I started with her about two weeks ago. She has had sweet potatoes, peas and squash so far and we have green beans and carrots at home to try too. She has loved all of it and is doing a great job eating. So far I have just been giving her a little bit once a day and only doing one at a time for a few days in case of an allergy. Do I just keep doing this for awhile? Start doing it twice or three times a day? Once we know a food is ok, feed her more than one food for "dinner"? Am I over-thinking this?

It really does! Sometimes all it takes is a gentle shush in dd's ear to calm her down. White noise is part of our bedtime routine but I don't play it all night so I can hear her while I am sleeping.
How often do you guys change your nursing bra? I used to wear my regular bras 2-3 times before washing but have been washing my nursing bras after one wear. I wear nursing pads every day so I'm thinking to get a few more wears out of them, especially since I'm back at work.

We did once a day at 6 months, twice at 7 months and three times at 8+ months. I only gave new food once every 3 days but once I knew she wasn't allergic to something I'd give that with a new food.
As for overthinking, just do what seems right to you. She'll for sure tell you if she's still hungry.
I try to stay away from PB toast b/c a kid in her DC as severe peanut allergies. I'd hate to miss something while cleaning her up and have him come in contact with PB.
