I had my bloodwork today, and my hcg levels came back at only 24. I'm 13-14 dpo as far as I can tell. RE didn't seem too concerned, and I test again Wednesday. I know the change is what matters, but I'm still concerned. Any words of wisdom?
Here's a link for reference. It says that a low number can absolutely = a healthy pregnancy. It also mentions what ijack said, that one number has little meaning if you have nothing to compare it to.
Early on, the low end for the first 5 weeks is still a really small number.

Someone explain this to me please:). I just got my 2 lines today and am going to my regular doctor tomorrow to get my thyroid tested. What test should I ask him to do for this and why?

Congrats! Two lines means pregnant and most of the time there's nothing to worry about. Your doc can run an hcg test for you but it's really not neccesary in most cases. Good luck!

It's a beta HCG test. Most doctors don't run them in normal pregnancies--usually only if you are working with a RE or have some sort of risk factor. Mine was monitored because I had two past miscarriages.
