There's no way in hell I would have wanted to do that after my full. Even if I wanted to, I don't know if I could have physically pulled it off. I felt recovered just going about my day-to-day activities, buy my body revolted as soon as I attempted to run within the few weeks following my full.
ETA: But I've only done 1 full. You've done multiples and can probably predict how your body will react better than I could have predicted how mine did.
Yeah, it might not be your best race, but you can definitely do it. My running partner actually just did this exact thing in March. She ran Albany, and then ran our local 15k 2 weeks later.
Two weeks after Celebration, I ran 18 miles of her 22 mile training run with her, and I felt fine.
ETA: She winded up running the 15k, and having a lot of fun. She said she felt great, but she definitely didn't race it. For the 18 miles I ran 2 weeks after my full, it winded up being about 35 sec slower than MP.
Sure, you can. Whether you want to is up to you! I like to wait 3 weeks before I race after a full. Well, except for this fall when I ran marathons 2w apart. I think you just have to really want to do the particular race. If I was ho hum about it, I wouldn't bother.
