Ok, so I'm on week 5 of recovering and keeping activity very light and doing pt exercises.
Here is my question, for about two days after pt I have some good days, not pain free but bearable. Then, after those days I was in some extreme pain. Had another pt day and again have felt better but not pain free and have yet to cycle into that intense pain. Is this kind of what recovery is like?
She also wants me to go twice a week because of those bad days. But I do think it's working. Thoughts?
Also, kams and chw57 you really inspired me yesterday to just get better so I can do another IM. I'm so proud of you both!
Have you tried ART or is that not something that would work with your injury? With my hip issues, PT alone didn't do much but when I added ART I saw huge improvement
Early in my recovery from my knee, I needed pt twice/week. Could you go twice/week for 2 weeks to see if it helps? If not, you could cut it back to once.
Extreme pain like where you were before or worse than before? It's not atypical to feel better after PT and then be sore. However, after 5 weeks, if you're being consistent with exercises, this shoudnt be happening. You should be on the mend by now. Maybe give it a couple weeks at 2X a week but if it doesn't turn around I would recommend seeing the MD again
